Support Groups

Caregiver support groups provide a safe space where you can share with others who understand you in a way that no one else can. Mary V. says, “Feeling like I am not alone, learning tips and tricks to try at home, and venting my frustrations with others in the support group, kept me grounded. Hearing other caregiver’s struggles was so valuable in preparing me for the future. It was still scary, but at least I knew what to expect. Quite frankly, the members of the Spouse Support Group are the most impressive and courageous people I’ve ever met. While going through their own struggles and heartbreak, they’re able to dig deep to help and encourage others in the group–and are so moved to help new members find their footing. We share with each other, because nowhere else would others understand what we do each day just to survive.”
