Educational Opportunities

Knowledge eases the uncertainty that comes with caregiving. For many caregivers, this journey is not one they expected to be on and there are many unknowns. The more you understand, the more comfortable you can be making decisions and caring for your loved one and yourself.

Monthly topics to be covered include:

  • Navigating Financial Decisions
  • Understanding Medicare/Medicaid
  • Learning from the Brain Center
  • Focusing on Your Health and Fitness
  • Knowing your Legal Options
  • Exploring Counseling for Mental Health
  • Navigating Difficult Caregiving Conversations
  • Reviewing Resources for Specific Groups of Caregivers, such as Veterans
  • Guidance on How to Care for Your Loved One
  • Encouragement to Care for Yourself
  • Finding resources including respite services: bathing, grocery shopping, meal prep, snow removal, transportation, etc.

Our Training Opportunities

At Curative Connections, we believe that informed caregivers are empowered caregivers. That’s why we partner with trusted local experts to offer a variety of learning and training opportunities throughout the year. These sessions are designed especially for families and caregivers of our members, providing valuable insights into specific disabilities or conditions and practical tools for providing care at home. From dementia care workshops led by Sheri Fairman of Dementia Care Solutions to educational presentations on financial and legal planning, our trainings are a valuable resource for our caregivers and families.

Additional training opportunities are added throughout the year. Please check back for updates.
